Posted in Media & PR, Uniquely Singapore by the(new)mediaslut on the September 6th, 2007

the(new)mediaslut welcomes Kit Chan to the Singapore PR fraternity who has joined Hill and Knowlton Singapore.

Yes, Kit Chan THE Singer.

But her appointment as Campaign Strategist has led to some PR gossip in the industry.

“The trend now is not about professional training,” said a PR at a recent gathering of bad singing PR in a KTV.

” It’s about who has MORE influence.”

Another high pitch PR dude felt Mr Jimmy Tay, H&K chief executive, has made a budget conscious move in hiring Kit.

” Now H&K can bring Kit to all events,” said the high pitch PR dude.

No need to pay celeb fees, emcee fees, appearance fees or even photo loyalty fees.”

Information Improvisation

The new era of photography has happened due to the advent of camera in your samsung phones. This has totally changed the scope of digital cameras. People now don’t even spend money purchasing their digital camera accessories even if there is a nikon digital camera involved.. The nikon digital camera is losing its market. Also because enjoying hip hop music and doing photography from your cell, he will tell this to the local police.

[…] of Kit Chan (yes, our local songbird/ celebrity)  joining global PR agency, Hill & Knowlton as campaign strategist. It is an interesting move for Kit (am not sure of her experience in marketing/ public relations) […]

Kit is now an employee of H&K. And although i appreciate the fact that the mediaslut has an irreverent, tongue-in-cheek attitude, Jim’s attitude of speaking of his own employee like she is some commodity without mentioning her other skills / professionalism is downright unprofessional and humiliating to poor Kit.

Kit chan definitely has her own qualities and its hill & knowlton blessing that kit is working for them. yea they can bring her to events but kit’s purpose for her carrer move is to want live normal n not segregated because of her special ’status’. i hope mediasult will think about it carefully before making any allegations. and also happy birthday to her tomorrow!

    Happy Birthday to Kit Chan.

On the contrary to the allegations, by putting it out in the open, it is less likely now that Kit will be asked to be an emcee for an event and she can be allowed to concentrate on showcasing her other PR qualities.

If she does become one, then the prophecy by the industry is indeed true.

Indeed, but it seems impossible now. moreover, she’s still a greenhorn so i think she will be concentrating on learning the ropes than be an emcee for an event. if she does, to me, thats not very nice.

i think she is full of $%^!, think PR very easy job just need a pretty face. Does a local household name singer whose out of singing job and need to downgrade to do PR? If she can’t sing, please admit it and don’t disgrace Singapore.

Think she can use her status to switch to other jobs doing high post, make sure she start from the bottom, not like singing so easy.

Think before you talk Mr Gary! Its very rude to say this of our very own pioneer singer.
